More than 30 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series haulers will rumble through the streets of Sacramento at the 3^rd NASCAR Hauler Parade on Thursday, June 20.The NASCAR haulers, which will be en route to Sonoma Raceway for the 25^th Toyota/Save Mart 350, June 21-23, will make their way over the Tower Bridge and around the State Capitol to greet Northern California NASCAR fans ready for big race in Sonoma. 

Fans can get their Toyota/Save Mart 350 race weekend off on the right foot by joining NASCAR driver Jeff Burton for a one-mile walk and breakfast, all in the name of heart health, June 21.  Burton, driver of the No. 31 Chevrolet, will team up with a Bay Area heart transplant survivor to kick off this year's Toyota/Save Mart 350 in the first-ever Heart Walk to BEAT Heart Disease at Sonoma Raceway.

Fan-favorite IZOD IndyCar Series driver Tony Kanaan (No. 11 Hydroxycut KV Racing Technology/SH Racing) posted his first Indy 500 victory at the historic race on Sunday, and Sonoma Raceway is inviting fans to get in on the post-race celebration.  

Northern California race fans, and beyond, will be treated to a weekly local motor-sports television program for the sixth consecutive year on Comcast SportsNet Bay Area and Comcast SportsNet California.

Bay Area drivers will lead the way in 10 of 15 racing groups on Sunday at the 27^th  annual Sonoma Historic Motorsports Festival at Sonoma Raceway.

Alamo's Jeff Abramson will start from the pole in two classes. He piloted his 1959 Morgan to the top spot in Group 2 (1955-1962 Production/GT under 2000cc) and his 1966 Lotus 23C in Group 11 (1959-1966 Sports Racing Cars). 

Sonoma Raceway's fans can enjoy some of the North Bay's most iconic craft beer brands when they visit this summer, as the raceway welcomes Morris Distributing as an official sponsor and host of its new Nor Cal Craft Beer Garden. 

Sonoma Raceway's celebration of fine food and wine will continue following the Sonoma Historic Motorsports Festival on Saturday, May 18, as the 21^st annual Historic Race Car Festival returns to Sebastiani Winery. All proceeds from the charity event will benefit the Sonoma Valley Education Foundation, the Sonoma Valley Visitors Bureau and Speedway Children's Charities, the charitable arm of Sonoma Raceway.

Richard Petty Motorsports teammates Marcos Ambrose and Aric Almirola completed a successful two-day test session at Sonoma Raceway on Wednesday. It marked the first significant test for NASCAR's new Gen-6 car on a road-course, and the first time the new car has visited the 10-turn, 1.99-mile Sonoma circuit.

Race fans will be treated to a FREE NASCAR test session and also get a sneak peek at some tasty new food options on Tuesday, May 7, at Sonoma Raceway. The test will also mark the debut of the new NASCAR Gen-6 car in Sonoma

Richard Petty Motorsports will visit the road course for a two-day NASCAR Sprint Cup Series test with Marcos Ambrose (No. 9 Ford) and Aric Almirola (No. 43 Ford) in preparation for the Toyota/Save Mart 350, June 21-23.  

Sonoma Raceway and its fans helped local blood banks hit the jackpot on Monday as more than 100 people donated blood at the raceway’s 13^th annual High-Speed Blood Drive. The raceway partnered with the American Red Cross and the Blood Centers of the Pacific on the drive, which generated 96 total pints of blood.

Legendary driver Darrell Waltrip, a member of the NASCAR Hall of Fame, has been named Grand Marshal of the Toyota/Save Mart 350 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series weekend at Sonoma Raceway, June 21-23.  The event marks the series’ 25^th annual event in Sonoma.

Sonoma Raceway will continue its long tradition of motorcycle racing with five days of two-wheel action slated for its scenic venue, May 1-5.

Northern California race fans will be able to enjoy the wild fender-to-fender racing action of the 2013 FIA World Touring Car Championship, thanks to Comcast SportsNet Bay Area.For the first time ever, the network will feature a 30-minute FIA WTCC Highlight Show following each FIA World Touring Car Championship (WTCC) race spotlighting the race-to-race drama of the championship season.  

The Classic Sports Racing Group (CSRG) kicks off its 46^th season at Sonoma Raceway this weekend, April 6-7.  Vintage car racing will take center stage in Sonoma with 150 to 200 vintage race cars set to grace the road course over the weekend. Fans can expect to see vintage Formula 1, prototype sports cars and production cars from the 1950’s, 60s and 70s, as well as select sports racing cars from the 1930s.

More than 140 Northern California drag racers convened on the Sonoma Raceway drag strip, March 27, for the Wednesday Night Drags.

Drag racing fans can go head-to-head against racers from the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series on the Sonoma Raceway kart track at the 11^th annual NHRA Tour de Charity.  Speedway Children’s Charities, the charitable arm of Sonoma Raceway, will host the fundraising  event on Saturday, March 23, with all proceeds benefiting Sonoma County youth groups.

Sonoma Raceway will open its gates for another year of its popular “Drags and Drift” program, featuring drag racing on its world-famous quarter-mile drag strip, as well as drifting behind the main grandstand. “Drags and Drift” will be featured most Wednesday nights from March 13- Nov. 13. 

Put the brakes on overexposure to the sun

The high-speed power of drag racing returned to the Sonoma Raceway quarter-mile drag strip, Feb. 18, at the Summit ET Bracket Drags.  Claiming class wins were Concord’s  Art Hoover (Super Pro ET); Petaluma’s Marko Perivolaris (Pro ET); Modesto’s Roger Phillips (Sportsman ET); El Cerito’s Denny Alves (Motorcycle ET); and Santa Rosa’s Tom Johnson (Trophy).

Race fans will be treated to a FREE  INDYCAR test session on Wednesday, Feb. 27, at Sonoma Raceway. Six race teams are confirmed for the one-day test, highlighted by KV Racing Technology and drivers Tony Kanaan and Simona De Silvestro. Kanaan won the inaugural INDYCAR race in Sonoma  in 2005 and was the 2004 series champion.

Officials from Sonoma Raceway and the Grand Prix of Baltimore presented by SRT have entered into a friendly wager over the outcome of Super Bowl XLVII between the San Francisco 49ers and the Baltimore Ravens.

Car enthusiasts of all kinds are invited to enjoy the first Sonoma Raceway Swap Meet on Saturday, Feb. 2. And the best part? Admission for shoppers is FREE.

This auto-themed swap meet will feature vendors from the raceway’s Motorsports Industrial Park, as well as vendors selling a variety of vehicles, engine components and replacement body parts.  Gates will be open from 7 a.m.-1 p.m. The event will take place in the main paddock area of the raceway, including the NASCAR garages.

Engines were replaced by marchers, runners and even dogs on Saturday, Jan. 12, at Sonoma Raceway as more than 400 people turned out for the 2^nd annual John's March Against Stomach Cancer fundraiser.  The event was held in honor of John Cardinale, a long-time employee at Sonoma Raceway who was diagnosed with stomach cancer in February, 2011. Cardinale led the march of 425 people around the 12-turn, 2.52-mile road course at the event, which generated nearly $13,000.

The 25th annual Toyota/Save Mart 350 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series weekend highlights a diverse schedule at Sonoma Raceway for the 2013 motor-racing season.  In addition to NASCAR, the Big O Tires Racing Season will also include the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, IZOD IndyCar® Series, FIA World Touring Car Championship (WTCC) and Sonoma Historic Motorsports Festival.

The IZOD IndyCar® Series will visit the scenic Sonoma Valley for a ninth consecutive year in 2013, raceway officials announced today.  The GoPro Indy Grand Prix of Sonoma race weekend will take place Aug. 23-25 and will be the final permanent road course event of the 2013 INDYCAR season.

Cancer picked the wrong guy, and for the second consecutive year that man will lead the charge in a charitable fundraiser for stomach cancer research and awareness at Sonoma Raceway.  John Cardinale, a long-time employee at Sonoma Raceway, was diagnosed with Stage IV gastric cancer in March, 2011, and he will lead the 2^nd annual John’s March Against Stomach Cancer on Saturday, Jan. 12, at the raceway.
